Married Couple

I’m amazed at how many decisions married couples have to make together. My parents never really had the kind of marriage one could describe as a partnership.

Dealing with In-Laws

When you have a baby, it gets harder to deal with in-laws. Everyone wants to give you advice. Also, my mother-in-law doesn’t understand she is constantly pressuring us to visit her and it’s annoying me. Having a baby at forty makes me adamant about having time to enjoy my family without a lot of interference from my mother-in-law.

Baby’s First Birthday

My baby just turned one and because I’m a mom in my forties, I almost can’t find the words to describe how wonderful it all is. Being able to plan a party and celebrate my baby’s birthday is a treat.

Mother’s Day All Year

Mother’s Day is my favorite holiday and for me, it’s Mother’s Day all year. Becoming a mom at 40 is as great as I had thought it would be.

New Look for Mom at 40

I have decided to change my hairstyle and I am really excited about it. I think a lot of people have a certain idea of what a mom at 40 looks like, and they’re wrong.

I have found having a baby at 40 has kept me young. I am aware of the importance of taking care of myself now more than any other time in my life. I eat better.I get more exercise because being a mom is a lot of work. I find myself wanting to update my look to reflect how great it feels to be a mom.

I’m proud of being a mom at 40. Thanks to my baby, I have a new sense of taking care of myself and I want my appearnce to show it.

Exercise for Mom at 40

I didn’t think it was going to be this hard to lose the last twelve pounds of baby weight I still have. I gained the thirty pounds recommended during pregnancy.
I’m not complaining. It’s worth it to be a mom.

Best Valentine Ever

Love and Valentine’s Day has new meaning to my husband and me now that we have our baby. We love each other more than ever, but the love we have for our baby is so strong and like nothing either of us have experienced before. It’s one of the most wonderful things in the world.

Mom at 41

As I turn a year older, I realize it’s the first time since I turned thirty three that my birthday celebration didn’t include worrying about my biological clock ticking. Being a parent has been a goal for so many years.

I Started A Family This Year at 40

Starting my family at age 40 this year was a dream come true for me. I still can’t believe I finally fulfilled such an important wish after all these years. I’m a mom.

Being a mom is even more wonderful than I ever imagined. If you dream of becoming a mom and you’ve waited as long as I did, I want you to know, never give up. You can do it. Even if there are moments when you wonder if you will find Mr. Right in time to have a family, don’t get discouraged. He’s out there. Even when Mr. Right is late, you can still make all that you wished for come true. Take it from someone who knows.

Thankful Mom at 40

This past year was full of family matters. The arrival of my beautiful baby is what I’m most thankful for and when I look at her, I’m filled with happiness. The rest of my family matters have been very stressful. My mother is the one who made this year one of the hardest years of my life. Becoming a parent is what helped guide me through and navigate past all that my mother did this year.

Being a parent helps me see through different eyes. Seeing the actions of my mother this year has finally opened my eyes to just how dysfunctional she is. I feel sorry for her. She doesn’t understand the true meaning of family because she only cares about herself.
